Greater Glasgow and Clyde have various apprenticeships and although Ayrshire residents can apply Ayrshire and Arran should be recruiting next year too.  Also, if you have anyone interested in studying prosthetics and orthoptics get them to contact Strathclyde Uni and they can arrange for them to spend time at a Hospital learning about this dept.  Useful for personal statements.
